As destiny would have it, R.B. Bowen's path led him to the decks of the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier sailing the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, during his time in the Marine Corps. It was amidst these waters that the seeds of creativity were sown, as Bowen penned the very first draft of the tale that would later become, “The Adventures of Christopher & Rocket.”
The passage of two decades found the story still alive within Bowen's heart, waiting for the perfect moment to emerge. That moment arrived when Bowen, now a father, shared the story of Christopher and Rocket as a heartfelt bedtime tale for his youngest daughter. Little did he know that this simple act would etch a lasting image in her mind, a memory that would endure for over 25 years.
